1. Your agreement with StartME

These Terms govern your use of StartME at www.startme.site and its company workspace. StartME is operated by Oderinlo Nurudeen Oyinola in Lagos, Nigeria. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information, and our Refund Policy explains refunds.

You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter this agreement. If you use StartME for a business, you must have authority to act for it. Availability depends on applicable law, provider restrictions and supported payment methods.

2. What StartME provides

StartME provides software for coordinating AI employees across research, product, development, sales, marketing and operations. You can provide context, connect services and assign work for a new or existing company. Results depend on tools, connected accounts, provider access, budgets and configuration.

AI employees are software agents, not human employees, licensed advisers or officers appointed to your company. StartME does not guarantee a completed production app, legal compliance, funding, customers, revenue, rankings or business success.

3. Your account and information

Provide accurate account information, protect your credentials and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. You are responsible for instructions and actions you authorize, including those of anyone you permit to use your workspace. You must have the necessary rights and lawful basis to upload information, connect accounts and instruct work involving other people.

4. Autonomous work and connected tools

Your instructions, permissions, approval settings and connected-account access define the work you authorize. When automation is enabled, tasks can be initiated or continued by scheduled checks, events and employee handoffs within the configured boundaries, including while you are not viewing the workspace. Authorized work can consume StartME credits and incur third-party charges.

Use pause, budget, approval and connection controls to manage work. A pause stops future work when observed; it may not cancel an external operation already in progress. Revoking access does not reverse completed posts, messages, changes or purchases.

A connection does not guarantee that a tool has every permission, that an action will succeed or that use is free. Review generated work and consequential actions to the extent appropriate for their risk, and obtain qualified advice where needed.

5. Purchases, credits and provider costs

The price, currency, credit quantity and applicable charges shown at checkout govern a purchase. The current credit-pack purchase flow uses Paystack and purchases are one-time top-ups. A credit-pack purchase alone does not enroll you in a recurring subscription.

Credits are service-use units, not money, a bank balance, equity or a transferable financial asset. Complimentary, promotional and testing credits have no cash refund value. Usage rates and allowances may vary by task or plan; consult the billing information offered for your purchase. There is no fixed conversion between StartME credits and provider tokens.

StartME credits, daily model allowances and third-party balances are separate. Work may pause when one is insufficient or a provider is unavailable. Connected services can bill separately under their own terms. A StartME purchase does not buy those providers' credits.

If recurring plans are introduced, their price, renewal interval, cancellation procedure and applicable credit conditions must be disclosed before enrollment. An existing one-time purchase is not consent to a subscription. Material pricing changes apply as disclosed for future purchases or renewals, subject to applicable law.

6. Refunds and cancellation

Our Refund Policy offers a seven-day request window for the unused portion of purchased credits, subject to its terms. Billing mistakes, service failures and non-excludable legal rights are handled separately. Consumed credits and complimentary credits are not ordinarily refundable under the voluntary unused-credit policy.

Stopping automation, closing an account or deciding not to use a pack does not automatically submit a refund request. Contact us using the Refund Policy instructions. Cancellation of any future subscription and refund eligibility are separate questions.

7. Your content and generated work

You retain the rights you hold in your inputs. To the extent permitted by law and applicable third-party terms, you may use your generated work and we do not claim ownership of your company outputs. This does not guarantee that AI outputs are copyrightable, unique, accurate or free of third-party rights. Open-source code and other third-party materials remain subject to their licenses.

You authorize us and the providers involved in a task to process, store and transmit content as needed to deliver the service, operate your workspace, provide support and protect the service, as explained in the Privacy Policy. This permission does not transfer ownership. Separate training choices are described in the Privacy Policy.

8. Acceptable use

Use StartME lawfully and respect the rights and rules of connected services. You must not:

  • Use accounts, repositories, personal information or credentials without authority.
  • Create malware, commit fraud, evade security controls or attempt to access another customer's data.
  • Send unlawful spam, deceptive communications or prohibited automated outreach.
  • Infringe intellectual property, privacy or other rights, or upload content you have no right to process.
  • Bypass budgets, usage limits, approval requirements, payment controls or provider restrictions.
  • Use the service to make unlawful or prohibited high-impact decisions about people.

9. AI outputs and professional review

AI can produce inaccurate, incomplete, insecure or unsuitable work. A saved document, successful tool call or generated report is not proof that a product works, a message was delivered or a legal obligation was satisfied. Check evidence and results before relying on them.

Legal, investment, tax, accounting, financial and security outputs are informational drafting and analysis tools. They do not replace qualified advice, an audit, certification or a regulated professional relationship. StartME is not your law firm, investment adviser or accountant.

10. Availability and third-party services

We aim to operate the service with reasonable care. We do not promise uninterrupted availability or that every integration, model or output will remain available. Providers can change access, prices, limits and terms. Features may be updated or withdrawn, subject to statutory rights and applicable refund obligations. Keep independent copies of important source code and business records.

11. Suspension, closure and data requests

You can stop using StartME and contact us to request account closure or deletion. Export important work and revoke connected access when appropriate. Retention and deletion are explained in the Privacy Policy.

We may restrict access for unlawful use, security threats, nonpayment, abuse or material breach. Where appropriate and practicable, we will provide notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue. Decisions about unused paid credits remain subject to the Refund Policy and applicable law; suspension does not remove non-excludable rights.

12. Responsibility and liability

To the extent permitted by law, StartME is not responsible for indirect or consequential business losses arising from reliance on AI outputs or independent third-party services. You remain responsible for the lawful operation of your business and decisions and external actions you authorize.

Nothing excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including applicable consumer guarantees or liability for fraud. AI limitations do not remove obligations we owe under mandatory law.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, subject to mandatory protections that apply where you live. Contact us with the relevant details so we can try to resolve a concern. Courts with jurisdiction under applicable law may hear unresolved disputes. Nothing requires you to give up non-excludable consumer rights, statutory remedies or access to a competent regulator.

14. Changes and contact

We may update these Terms as the service or requirements change. We will identify the updated version and provide additional notice of material changes where required. Changes do not retrospectively remove rights attached to an earlier purchase.
