1. What this policy covers
This policy covers purchases of StartME credits from StartME, operated by Oderinlo Nurudeen Oyinola in Lagos, Nigeria. Read it with our Terms of Service. It does not govern charges billed independently by services you connect, such as AI, hosting or sandbox providers.
The current checkout offers one-time credit packs through Paystack. The provider and currency shown at checkout or on your receipt identify your payment.
2. Seven-day refunds for unused paid credits
You may request a refund for the unused portion of a purchased credit pack within seven days of the successful payment. Your request must reach the contact below within that window; assessment or bank processing can finish later.
If some credits from the purchase have been consumed, the ordinary refund covers only the remaining eligible paid credits, calculated proportionately using the amount actually paid for that pack after any discount. We will explain the calculation when assessing the request. Refunded credits are removed from the available balance and cannot also be used.
This voluntary policy ordinarily does not refund consumed credits, complimentary allocations, promotional bonuses or development/testing credits. Those restrictions do not decide a claim involving incorrect billing, an unprovided service or a remedy required by law.
3. Billing mistakes and service failures
Contact us if you were charged twice, credits were not delivered, an amount was incorrect or a StartME service failure affected a paid purchase. We will review relevant payment and usage records and provide an appropriate correction, credit restoration or monetary refund where due. The seven-day voluntary window does not remove rights under applicable law.
Restoring task credits inside StartME is different from returning money to your payment method. A task-credit restoration does not itself mean that a payment refund was requested or processed. Tell us which issue you need resolved.
4. How to request a refund
Email the contact below with the subject “StartME refund request”. Include:
- The email address on your StartME account.
- Your payment reference or receipt, payment date and amount.
- The company/project that received the credits, if known.
- Your reason and any relevant billing or delivery problem.
Never send a password, API key, full card number or card security code. We may ask for proportionate evidence of account or payment ownership. Stop using the credits you are asking us to refund during review. We will communicate the decision and, where applicable, the amount and payment-processing status.
5. Processing approved refunds
Approved monetary refunds are ordinarily returned through the original checkout provider to the original payment method, subject to its supported process. Bank and provider processing times vary. A request or approval is not confirmation that money has reached your account.
Refunds are based on the original transaction currency and eligible amount paid. Tax adjustments depend on the transaction and applicable requirements. Exchange-rate changes or separate bank charges can affect your statement; contact us if the returned amount appears incorrect. We do not impose a blanket deduction of provider fees from every eligible refund.
If the original payment method cannot receive a refund, we will work with the provider on a permitted alternative and verify the recipient. We will not ask you to pay a separate fee to release a refund.
6. Stopping work and future subscriptions
A one-time credit pack does not renew automatically. Pausing a company or employee, or disconnecting a tool, can limit future work but does not reverse completed usage or automatically request a refund. External operations already in progress may finish.
If recurring subscriptions become available, checkout must disclose renewal and cancellation terms before enrollment. Cancelling renewal and requesting a refund are separate actions. This policy does not enroll you in a subscription.
7. Charges from other services
If you pay another provider directly for AI usage, email, hosting, a domain, a sandbox or another service, request refunds from that provider under its policy. StartME cannot promise to reverse independent charges. Applicable rights and remedies for a claim arising from our own failure remain available.
8. Consumer rights and provider rules
This seven-day offer is additional to mandatory rights. It does not exclude applicable cancellation, withdrawal, defective-service, refund or dispute rights, including any longer period provided by law. We do not assume that starting to use a digital service automatically waives a legal withdrawal right.
If a checkout provider acts as merchant of record for a future purchase, its applicable buyer terms and legally required refund handling also apply. Nothing prevents you from exercising rights through your bank, payment provider or a competent regulator.
9. Contact and updates
Send requests to Oderinlo Nurudeen Oyinola, StartME, Lagos, Nigeria, using the email below.
We may update this policy for future purchases. The policy applicable when you purchased and any mandatory rights remain relevant to that transaction.
