StartME for your company
Bring an AI team into the company you already run
An existing business has customers, commitments and working systems. StartME starts from that baseline and helps coordinate a specific improvement across product, engineering and business roles.

Describe the business before changing it
Choose the existing-company setup and record the current offering, website, customer, operating stage and tools. Explain the immediate priority: improve onboarding, repair a product flow, evaluate a channel or organize a backlog. Add the existing PRD and select the relevant repository where applicable.
State what must stay intact. That may include the company name, visual identity, pricing commitments, customer data, current integrations or a working production service. Founder-provided context is a starting point, not proof that an account is connected or a claim is verified.
Connect only the accounts needed for the milestone
Authorize the relevant provider through the available connection workflow. A saved website URL does not grant analytics access. A selected GitHub URL does not import files or grant write permission. Check the connected account, repository access and tool status before the team relies on them.
Where a role needs more access, it can request a connection. Keep credentials in the application's configuration or connection flow. The existing app's backend configuration belongs to that app; it should not silently reuse StartME's own backend.
An existing-company handoff checklist
| Input | What to include |
|---|---|
| Company baseline | Offering, current users, known constraints and a dated source for claims |
| Product context | Current PRD, priority journey and acceptance criteria |
| Repository | Authorized GitHub account, repository and app folder |
| Runtime | Framework, start command and required environment variable names |
| Business systems | Only the tools needed for this milestone and their owners |
| Change boundaries | Approval requirements, spending limits and rollback expectations |
Measure the change against a baseline
Choose one outcome before starting. An onboarding task might measure whether new users finish a defined setup step. A support task might track the age of unresolved tickets. Record the event definition, time window and data source so a later result can be compared fairly.
Have the relevant employees report implemented changes, checks that actually ran, remaining gaps and the next owner. Keep discovery, implementation, release and observed business impact as separate milestones. A forecast is not measured growth.
Keep control while work continues
Set autonomy and approval boundaries for the company, check credit and model allowances, and pause a specific employee or the whole project when needed. Use a small dependency plan so routine work does not compete with a critical customer or release issue.
StartME can help coordinate improvements to an existing operation. It should not assume permission to rebuild, migrate, rebrand, publish or contact customers because you connected a repository or described a goal.
Common questions
- Does adding my repository replace my existing app?
- No. Selection and import provide source context. Changes, previews and releases are separate actions with their own requirements and boundaries.
- Can StartME work with an existing customer base?
- You can supply the relevant company context and authorize supported systems. Employees should use verified customer records and approved actions, not infer customers or revenue from a website description.
